On Saturday, July 31st the 2009 Line hosted the first Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter Homecoming Cookout. The purpose of the cookout was to recognize 22 years of existence, hard work and dedication of Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter as well as a means for brothers to fellowship. The cookout also served as a tool to call all Chi Gamma Gamma brothers from near and far to come back and celebrate. Over 65 brothers attended the barbecue, including brothers from Kappa Alpha Alpha, Tau, Phi Kappa Kappa, Theta Lambda Lambda, Alpha Delta Nu and Alpha Delta Rho. The barbeque was successful in reclaiming Brother James Smith ( XGG “91”). Brothers brought their families out for a day full of good food, music and fun. The barbeque also supported the “Supply Drive 4 Knowledge”. This social action fundraiser served to help to provide school supplies for surrounding Cobb County schools. Book bags, paper, pencils, pens, and other supplies were collected totaling over $300 worth of supplies. The barbeque was a complete success with brothers enjoying each other’s company and also giving support to uplifting our community.
